  • 1. Are you Aware of these Craziest Lottery Facts? Lottery is not all about winning and losing. It’s not only about learning the tricks of the trade and mastering the art of becoming a pro. At times, it is all about enjoying the essence of the game to the fullest. One such way of enjoying the game is to dig through some of the weirdest facts about the game. Let’s browse through some of the most interesting facts about lottery. Lottery: A Series of Weird Facts According to reports, there are people who choose interesting places to hide their lottery tickets after coming to know that they have won the lottery. There are some who have hidden their “precious” tickets in socks, in under pants, inside biscuit tins and even in the freezer! Have you come across anyone who has willingly given up on his/her lottery just because he/she thinks that “Money cannot buy happiness”? Well a Croatian teacher has already done it. In the year 2013, Frane Selak went on to win € 800,000 lottery on his 73rd birthday. It was the first lottery ticket he had

Apparently, this belief primarily stemmed from the numerous accidents he had survived (a train crash, a bus accident, several car accidents, hit by a bus and falling out a plane from a high altitude!). Touching indeed! A winner who was apparently celebrating his lottery win by jumping on the streets had actually broken his/her leg while doing so! A lady named Evelyn Adams had actually won the New Jersey lottery consecutively in the years 1985 and 1986. The total amount (which stood around $5.4 million) of money won, however was spent in gambling. Adams found herself broke after 20 years and (reportedly) today she lives in a modest trailer park. A couple (who had cracked a jackpot worth £2 million) had been celebrating with so much noise that their neighbour had actually called the police thinking that they were burgled!!! Phew… There are several countries which have savings plans which result in a no lose lottery. The rates of interests are low. However, there are prizes which are distributed at frequent intervals. These no lose lotteries are considered very effective in motivating people to save their money. However, they are treated as an illegal practice by some countries owing to the governmental monopoly on running lotteries. Mr Deakin from South Wales had even gone to the extent of pinning his lottery ticket to his shirt. Want to find out why? Read on: He was in Belgium for a holiday and when he came to know that he had actually cracked a jackpot £1.8 million he pinned the ticket to his shirt until he flew back to Porthcawl--- so afraid was he that he would end up losing his ticket!!! There are several such instances surrounding lottery wins which are as crazy as the above ones! So, do take a look around!
