  • 1. Photography can be described as a creative blend of science and art. It is said to be drawing with light. However, what to do when you don’t have enough light to capture your subject? Yes, low light condition while doing photography is a most distressing situation. So, here we bring out some simple yet effective tips to overcome low lighting condition.
  • 2. USE A MONOPOD OR A TRIPOD Quickly, get your tripod or monopod out of the dusting bag and USE it. Mounting your camera on tripod will let you lower down the shutter speed till a certain the level. Always buy and use a sturdy tripod, not one of those delicate ones.
  • 3. USE A FULL-FRAME CAMERA This is an expensive deal, but if you face low lighting condition Very often then it is time to buy a full frame camera. Mark my words; the full frame sensor will make a huge difference in low light situations. A full frame digital camera has larger the photosite which helps to capture even weaker light signals.
  • 4. USE A FLASHLIGHT The simplest way to light up your images is to use an external flash light. It is a perfect lighting tool, much popular amongst biggest photographers around. While using an external flash, it’s best to bounce back the light from flash onto the subject. Or you may use a diffuser to make the light fall less harsh.
  • 5. PUSH YOUR ISO TO A HIGHER NUMBER To fight the low light situation, you may increase the ISO. However, it is always advisable to stay below 400 to avoid grains in your picture. And there are some cool noise removal software like Noise Ninja, Neat Image and others that can help you clean up an image.
